ORDERING POLICIES & PROCEDURES
ORDERS AND PAYMENT
Our latest price lists and stock lists are available upon request from wholesalers. Prices are in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. All orders are to be placed using our unaltered order form and returned by email. To avoid the risk of errors, telephone orders are not accepted.
On receipt of an order, a pro forma invoice, including freight and packing charges, will be issued . All orders are to be paid for by telegraphic transfer or by approved arrangement. Goods will be dispatched when payment has been cleared.
ORDERING CORAL
Corals are a natural product with inherent individual variations in form, shape, quality, size, color, appearance and availability. Specimen corals displayed on this site are examples only and are not the actual pieces currently for sale. Please note that each piece of coral is unique and is individually priced according to the shape, size, polyp quantity, quality, colour and appearance. Sizes shown are the approximate average size range. The pieces you receive may be either larger or smaller.
IMPORT REQUIREMENTS
The entry of coral into a country is a decision of that country's government and beyond the control of Inter-Fish. It is the responsibility of the importer to ensure they comply with both the current international CITES legislation and their countries legislation to avoid seizure of the coral by ensuring that the necessary export and import permits and other documentary requirements are arranged prior to shipment.
We have a multiple consignment CITES permit which allows us to send multiple consignments using the one permit. Each consignment must be accompanied by a copy of that permit plus a SER (Specimen Export Record No.) stamped by Australian customs.
Clients in some countries require the CITES permit and SER some time prior to shipment so they can apply for an import permit. Under most circumstances we can supply these within one to two business days of receiving the request.
TRANSPORT
We pack extremely well and very few losses occur during transit. We use Airlines that have a good track record of safely delivering coral to our clients. However once the goods leave our premises, we have no control over how they are handled.
Once coral has been consigned the shipment is the responsibility of the customer as the Australian Government does not allow the re-importation of coral. In the unfortunate event that problems do arise, please notify us immediately so we can assist in achieving the best possible outcome.
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to arrange any insurance they require for the shipment.
CLAIMS
DOA claims are at the sole discretion of Inter-Fish.
Claims must be made within 24 hours of arrival and must be accompanied by full details such as photographs, water parameters of packing water, damage to packaging, etc.
